Phnom Penh Welcomes New Luxury Landmark
Marriott International and The Royal Group will launch The Ritz-Carlton brand in Cambodia in 2032. This project marks the brand’s debut in the country. The dual-component development sits on Norodom Boulevard in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district. It combines a Grade A office tower with The Ritz-Carlton, Phnom Penh and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Phnom Penh.
The property is located near major landmarks such as the Central Market, Royal Palace, and National Museum. It also sits 20 kilometers from the new Techo International Airport. This joint venture creates Phnom Penh’s first ultra-luxury hospitality and residential complex.
Hotel Amenities and Event Facilities
The hotel portion will feature 152 rooms and suites. These accommodations will offer views of the city and the Mekong River. Plans include five dining venues and a sky bar. Guests will also find an exclusive Club Lounge, an outdoor infinity pool, a fitness center, and a spa. The development allocates 1,700 square meters for event and banqueting space.
This includes a grand ballroom, suitable for significant celebrations. Brad Edman, Marriott International’s market vice president for Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar, states the project will establish new benchmarks for luxury hospitality in the capital.
Ultra-Luxury Branded Residences
The Ritz-Carlton Residences will occupy levels 30 to 60 of the tower. This component introduces Cambodia's first ultra-luxury branded residences. The project includes 119 private homes, offering two- to four-bedroom layouts. It also features four duplexes and nine penthouses. These residences will provide views of the Four Faces River confluence.
Residents will access dedicated facilities, including a separate arrival area, lounge, library, and co-working space. Additional amenities comprise a swimming pool, private dining rooms, and a golf simulator. Oknha Kith Sula, COO of The Royal Group International, noted the project will become an iconic landmark and a symbol of prosperity for the country.
Impact on Asia's Wedding Market
The Ritz-Carlton, Phnom Penh, will introduce a new standard for luxury weddings and events in Cambodia. Couples planning a destination wedding in Southeast Asia will gain a significant high-end venue option. The grand ballroom and extensive event facilities offer capacity for substantial celebrations.
The branded residences provide sophisticated accommodation for wedding parties and guests. This development demonstrates growing confidence in Phnom Penh’s luxury hospitality market. It suggests an expansion of high-end event infrastructure in the region, offering more choices for discerning couples and event planners.
