Courtyard by Marriott Kobe Unveils Grand Pearl Ballroom for 200 Guests

The new 381-key hotel on Port Island offers 1,387m² of event space, joining other Marriott-affiliated openings across Asia in late 2026.

Courtyard by Marriott Kobe Offers Extensive Event Space

The Courtyard by Marriott Kobe has commenced operations on Japan's Port Island. This 381-room hotel features seven distinct meeting and event venues, providing a collective 1,387 square meters of space. Its Grand Pearl ballroom is designed to host up to 200 guests within its 326 square meters.

The hotel also includes two restaurants, Topaz and Prashanti, alongside an open lobby café and bar. It is conveniently situated near Naka Futo Station and 4.7 kilometers from Kobe Airport, offering accessibility for event attendees.

Anook Signature Seoul Guro Marks Brand Debut

In South Korea, the Anook Signature Seoul Guro, Series by Marriott, has launched as the brand's debut property in the country. This 104-room hotel is located in Seoul's southwestern business corridor, close to the Guro Digital Complex. The 17-storey property offers a range of accommodations, from Standard Rooms to Junior and Penthouse Suites, all equipped with work areas.

Facilities include Anook Restaurant, serving Korean cuisine, a sauna, fitness center, and dedicated meeting spaces, complemented by a rooftop lounge and outdoor terrace.

New Properties Also Open in Malaysia and Cambodia

The Orion Kuala Lumpur, A Registry Collection Hotel, began its soft opening on September 30, 2026, in Bukit Bintang, within Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle. This 255-room hotel offers studios and two-bedroom suites, alongside event facilities including two boardrooms for 12 and 14 guests, and a multi-use hall accommodating up to 80.

Concurrently, the Tui Suneo Olympia Phnom Penh has opened within Olympia City in the Cambodian capital. This hotel provides 168 rooms and features the Olympus ballroom, capable of hosting up to 150 guests for various events.

Expanding Venue Options for Asian Weddings

These new hotel openings significantly expand venue choices for couples planning weddings and corporate events across Asia. The Courtyard by Marriott Kobe's Grand Pearl ballroom, accommodating up to 200 guests, offers a new option for medium-sized celebrations in Japan.

Similarly, The Orion Kuala Lumpur and Tui Suneo Olympia Phnom Penh introduce additional event spaces, including Phnom Penh's Olympus ballroom for 150 guests. This growth provides wedding planners and event organizers with more diverse locations and capacities to meet client demands for destination weddings and related festivities.

Couples now have more contemporary hospitality choices when considering venues in Seoul, Kobe, Kuala Lumpur, and Phnom Penh for their special occasions.
