New Wellness Resort in Hunter Valley

Avani Cypress Lakes Resort launched on October 1st, establishing itself as Australia's largest integrated wellness resort precinct. Located in the Hunter Valley, the property covers 340 acres, blending the former Cypress Lakes Resort with Elysia Wellness Retreat under the Avani brand.

This new destination offers 204 rooms and suites, an 18-hole championship golf course, and diverse dining options. The resort aims to provide a balanced lifestyle experience for modern travelers, combining leisure with comprehensive wellness programs.

Flexible Event Spaces for Celebrations

The resort features 24 flexible indoor and outdoor event spaces, designed to host a range of celebrations and gatherings. These facilities aim to strengthen the Hunter Valley's position as a premier destination for events. Avani introduces its new "Buzz & Breathe" concept, which integrates engaging activities beyond traditional conference formats.

Event organizers can arrange Sri Lankan cooking classes, paint-and-sip workshops, golf experiences, or wellness breaks for their guests, creating memorable and interactive events.

Enhanced Guest Experiences and Dining

Avani Cypress Lakes Resort offers an array of new guest experiences, including pickleball courts, an outdoor cinema, and poolside entertainment. The property also marks the Australian debut of AvaniWell, the brand's innovative wellness concept.

Unlike conventional retreats, AvaniWell allows guests to customize their wellness journey, from multi-day programs to individual spa treatments, Pilates, cold plunges, or infrared saunas. New dining concepts include Chakraya, a restaurant inspired by Sri Lankan culinary traditions.

Implications for Asia's Destination Weddings

This new Avani property expands destination wedding and honeymoon choices for couples across Asia. The Hunter Valley, known for its vineyards, now offers a large-scale resort with extensive event capabilities and a strong wellness focus.

Asian couples seeking a blend of scenic beauty, diverse activities, and comprehensive event support for their wedding or pre-wedding shoot may find Avani Cypress Lakes Resort a compelling option. The resort's flexible event concepts could also inspire new trends for wedding planners in the Asia-Pacific region.
