New Branded Residences in North Goa

Royal Orchid Hotels, an Indian hospitality company managing over 126 properties, introduced its Iconiqa Living branded residences on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. The launch comprises 130 units located in North Goa, a popular destination in India.

This initiative extends the group's upscale Iconiqa brand into residential offerings, specifically designed to cater to India's growing travel and wedding markets, according to Royal Orchid Hotels.

Blending Hotel Service with Home Comfort

The Iconiqa brand, which is now one year old, moves beyond traditional hotel rooms with this new venture. Arjun Baljee, President of Royal Orchid Hotels, described the concept as combining "the front end of a home and the back end of a hotel." This approach anticipates that Indian travelers will seek and pay for hotel-style services within their private residences.

Baljee also noted that service quality and personalization would ultimately be more important than design in the branded residences market.

Strategic Expansion Across India's Diverse Markets

This launch also reflects a broader strategic shift in Royal Orchid's portfolio. The company observes a rising demand for hospitality services in various locations, including pilgrimage towns, established wedding destinations, leisure markets, and smaller commercial hubs.

Beyond Iconiqa, which has already grown into four distinct formats within its first year, the group's portfolio also includes mid-market Regenta hotels and a planned rollout of 125 Hampton by Hilton properties.

Opportunities for India's Wedding Market

For couples planning a wedding in India, particularly those considering destination celebrations, the Iconiqa Living residences offer a new accommodation option in North Goa. The emphasis on personalized, hotel-grade service within a residential setting could appeal to couples seeking extended stays for their wedding parties or unique venues for pre-wedding events.

This strategic expansion by Royal Orchid Hotels into diverse markets, including specific wedding destinations, suggests a growing trend of hospitality providers adapting to the evolving needs of India's dynamic wedding industry, potentially leading to more varied choices for couples beyond traditional city centers.
