A Three-Day Celebration Blending Literary and Garden Themes

Equestria West recently hosted Enya and Isabel’s three-day wedding celebration. The event centered on a literary garden design, reflecting the couple's shared love for books. Poppati Events managed the comprehensive planning and design.

Guests received custom-bound book invitations, detailing “The Love Story of Enya & Isabel.” The reception featured a grand 20-foot ceremony structure and 90 crystal chandeliers, creating a refined atmosphere. Ashley Fox Designs curated the floral arrangements, with gardenias prominent throughout the decor. The celebration showcased an elegant fusion of personal storytelling and grand visual elements.

Custom Details and Asian Culinary Traditions

The wedding incorporated numerous personalized touches. Guest seating assignments appeared on the spines of custom books titled “How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You.” These books opened to reveal artisanal chocolates from Paris. Cocktail napkins were printed with favorite literary quotes. The rehearsal dinner paid homage to Asian culinary traditions.

It included ramen with custom broths, tableside dim sum service from a gold rolling cart, and mango sticky rice bites. Oversized fortune cookies delivered personalized messages from the couple, alongside lychee martinis and a build-your-own tea bar.

Designer Gowns and Interactive Guest Experiences

Both brides wore custom-designed gowns by Lauren Holovka of Le Laurier, with fittings conducted in New York. The wedding day dining featured a roaming caviar butler and late-night options like mini pizzas and lo mein. Dr. Altreisha Foster of Sugarspoon Desserts created a four-tier wedding cake adorned with sugar sails and wafer paper roses.

Entertainment included violinists performing above dinner tables and a 10-piece interactive band. Guests enjoyed unique favors, including a live tattoo bar offering preselected art options and a perfume atelier for blending custom scents.

Implications for Asian Wedding Planning

This celebration demonstrates how couples can integrate diverse cultural elements into a cohesive wedding design, even when marrying outside Asia. The detailed Asian culinary and decor tributes provide inspiration for couples planning destination weddings or those wishing to honor their heritage.

Asian wedding planners and venues can note the sophisticated blend of literary and garden themes with specific cultural traditions. The emphasis on personalized guest experiences, from custom books to a tattoo bar, sets a benchmark for creating memorable and engaging events within the region.
