The festivities seamlessly combined Indian traditions with European design aesthetics. Wedding planner Next Level Experiences, led by Carun Carumbiah, orchestrated the celebration.
The vision focused on creating distinct yet connected experiences, reflecting the couple's love for travel, music, and nature. Guests received personalized car playlists and curated in-room amenities, setting a welcoming tone. Agnes Brunner also contributed to welcome hampers, selecting recycled fabric bags and family snacks sourced from Bangkok.
Thoughtful Design for Traditional Rituals
The Ganesh Puja, designed by AARA Design & Decor, featured a calm aesthetic with natural textures and fresh florals, honoring the ritual. The Haldi ceremony drew inspiration from earthy textures and handcrafted details. Handwoven bags by women artisans, dried rose petals, and silver incense holders added warmth. Fresh chandan ladoos flown from Delhi enhanced the authenticity.
For the Mehndi, Aash Studio created an Indian Keepsake Market, allowing guests to engage with craftsmanship. Kiosks offered handcrafted items, and a live scent blending experience enabled personalized candle creation. Playful motifs referenced the couple's proposal among gorillas in Rwanda.
Grand Ceremony and Festival Finale
The wedding ceremony took place beside a lake at the Virwani family farmhouse, balancing natural beauty with refined design by Devika Narain & Company. A bamboo mandap adorned with terracotta and blush florals blended into the landscape. Ceremony booklets helped international guests understand each ritual.
The reception unfolded under a custom-built glasshouse, its transparent architecture framing the night sky. Cascading florals and suspended lights transformed the space for speeches and entertainment. The celebrations concluded with the A&A Festival, an immersive music and art experience, built over twelve days by Next Level Experiences. It featured three themed worlds and large-scale installations.
