Della Resorts in Lonavala, nestled within India's Western Ghats, recently hosted a wedding that combined rich Indian heritage with contemporary destination-luxe styling. The celebration highlighted a thoughtful design and production led by Yes 99 Events, a recognized leader in wedding planning.
The overall event paid homage to traditional Pichwai art from Rajasthan and the revered Kalpavriksha, also known as the wish-granting tree. Amaze Events managed the comprehensive planning for the occasion, ensuring a cohesive and elegant execution of the intricate themes.
Distinctive Themes for Each Celebration
Each wedding function featured a unique design language, creating varied immersive environments for guests. The Gala Dinner adopted a boho-chic aesthetic, styled with abundant pampas grass, lush dried florals, neutral linens, and suspended rattan chandeliers.
For the Mandap Muhurat, traditional Rajasthani art inspired hand-painted Pichwai backdrops in soft to deep pinks, grounded by lotus motifs, tuberose, and antique brass accents. The Haldi event transformed into a sundowner Italian fiesta, characterized by crisp blue-and-white tile prints, bright lemon-yellow floral touches, woven wicker, and draped cabanas.
The Kalpavriksha Mandap: A Sacred Forest Setting
The Sangeet evening created a celestial atmosphere with warm golden lighting, fairy light canopies, fiber-optic light curtains, and suspended crystal constellations. The Pheras ceremony, a central ritual, unfolded in a sacred forest setting. Guests entered through a reverse-hanging tree canopy of suspended foliage, leading to a monumental Kalpavriksha Mandap.
