COMO Resorts Plan Expert-Led Programs

COMO Maalifushi and COMO Cocoa Island will present a calendar of expert-led programs through early 2027. These initiatives focus on ocean stewardship, artistic expression, and holistic wellbeing. Each program thoughtfully shows the distinct character of its island setting. Guests can engage with the Maldives in new ways.

They will deepen their appreciation of the natural world and cultivate creativity, balance, and personal renewal. Peter Nilsson, Managing Director of COMO Resorts, Maldives, stated that meaningful travel creates lasting experiences. He hopes these programs offer guests a deeper connection to the Maldives, celebrating the people and ideas that make each encounter unique.

Maalifushi Focuses on Marine Life and Holistic Health

COMO Maalifushi will host "Guardians of the Reef" from October 20 to November 2, 2026, with Sharks4Kids. Marine biologist Jillian Morris and Emmy Award-winning cinematographer Duncan Brake will lead this program. It explores sharks through guided reef adventures and marine education. Citizen science and underwater storytelling are also included.

The resort also features two visiting practitioners. Martina Wegscheider, a physiotherapist and osteopath, leads "Holistic Reset for Body and Mind" from September 21 to October 5, 2026. Her treatments combine osteopathy, craniosacral therapy, and energy alignment. Kimberly Rose Kneier presents "Balance and Harmony" from December 1, 2026, to January 10, 2027. This program integrates acupuncture, Qi Gong, and breathwork.

Cocoa Island Highlights Ocean Culture and Japanese Healing

COMO Cocoa Island will feature "Ocean Culture Life" from October 19 to October 31, 2026. Award-winning photographer Matt Porteous and environmental advocate Tamsin Raine, founders of Ocean Culture Life, will lead this. It combines photography, ocean film, and conservation efforts. Guests can join photography workshops and marine capture experiences.

Film nights and discussions on human-sea connection are also part of the program. Yuki Nishikubo will lead "The Art of Japanese Healing" from November 16 to December 27, 2026. Nishikubo offers personalized Japanese acupuncture and Shiatsu treatments. The final program, "From Sea to Self," runs from December 8 to December 27, 2026. Acclaimed artist Gregory Burns will explore art, nature, and transformation through workshops.

New Honeymoon Experiences for Couples

These programs offer couples planning a Maldives honeymoon unique engagement opportunities. Instead of a purely leisure-focused stay, they can choose activities aligning with specific interests. Couples interested in marine life can join conservation efforts with leading experts.

Those seeking personal balance can access specialized wellness therapies from acclaimed practitioners. This structured approach allows for enriching experiences beyond typical resort amenities. It provides a deeper connection to the destination and its offerings.

Couples should review the full calendar of programs and consider booking early to secure their preferred dates and activities for their stay.
