Oaga Art Resort Unveils New Villas, Festive Experiences

Maldivian Storytelling for the Festive Season
Oaga Art Resort, located in the North Malé Atoll, has unveiled its “Between Two Lights” program for the upcoming Christmas and New Year 2026/2027 period. This festive offering draws inspiration from “Hayeh,” the Maldivian blue hour when day transitions into night, and the ancient connection between the sun and moon.
The resort aims to immerse guests in island stories, local culture, and contemporary Maldivian creativity, blending food, music, ocean activities, and live performances throughout the season. The concept centers on embracing the moments of transition and connection.
New Villas and Cultural Immersion
Beginning in November, Oaga Art Resort will expand its accommodation with the new Avi Water Villa, designed to capture the warmth of the sun and offer sunrise views. The existing Odi Water Villas, known for their sunset orientation, will also see additional units and a refreshed design reflecting the moon's serene qualities.
Throughout the resort, the Suvāsthi program will feature Maldivian artists, musicians, and performers. Activities range from Boduberu Fusion Nights and live mural art to storytelling and digital art, providing a rich cultural experience for guests.
Themed Dining and Wellness Experiences
The festive dining experience at Oaga Art Resort evolves with the changing light. Kaa Kada, the resort's main dining venue, shifts from a bright daytime setting to a more atmospheric evening ambiance. Two distinct culinary offerings define the season: Iru Meyzu, the “Sun Table,” presents a Maldivian feast inspired by returning fishermen, featuring fresh catch and local spices.
Handhu Meyzu, the “Moon Table,” offers an intimate evening with candlelight, storytelling, and flavors from night fishing. Hoba Spa also integrates the “Hayeh” concept into wellness experiences, focusing on pathways like Energise, Grounding, Nurture, and Recover.
