Mahsa Vazin, Bam Azizi Marry at Villa Erba with Dolce & Gabbana Couture
A two-year planning process shaped the Lake Como wedding of Mahsa Vazin and Bam Azizi, featuring custom Dolce & Gabbana fashion, Persian traditions, and entertainment from Andy Madadian.

Lake Como Hosts Couture Celebration
Mahsa Vazin and Bam Azizi chose Villa Erba on Italy’s Lake Como for their wedding, following nearly two years of detailed planning. Their celebration blended Persian heritage, Italian elegance, and a vibrant American energy.
The event reflected the couple's distinct personal styles and cultural backgrounds, creating a unique portrait rather than a traditional destination wedding. Guests traveled from across the globe to witness the union at the historic lakeside venue.
Bespoke Fashion Takes Center Stage
Couture fashion was central to the couple's wedding expression. Mahsa Vazin wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda gown, handmade specifically for her. Bam Azizi complemented this with Alta Sartoria from the same design house.
Throughout the day, the couple showcased multiple outfit changes, drawing from Dolce & Gabbana archival pieces and Dior, giving the event a distinct editorial quality. These one-of-a-kind garments conveyed the couple's identity as avid couture collectors.
Traditions Meet Italian Scenery
The ceremony took place outdoors at Villa Erba, set against the historic Italian architecture and the green shores of Lake Como. A traditional Persian sofreh aghd, an elaborate ceremonial spread, was arranged before the couple. Each element on the sofreh carried symbolic meaning, from mirrors and candelabras representing a bright future to herbs for prosperity.
Following the ceremony, portraits were taken beside a classic car and on the lake aboard a Riva boat, using Lake Como's natural beauty.
Global Entertainment and Planning Insights
The reception inside Villa Erba included a champagne tower on the lake-facing terrace. Later, legendary Iranian-American artist Andy Madadian flew from Los Angeles to perform, adding significant cultural depth to the evening. Ellis and his band, who had previously performed for Mahsa's sister's wedding, also provided entertainment.
This bespoke event shows that couples planning similar luxury destination weddings, especially those integrating diverse cultural elements, should plan for 18 to 24 months to secure their preferred venues, designers, and performers.
In Asia, where multi-cultural unions and destination weddings are increasingly popular, couples seeking this level of personalized luxury should consider similar extended planning periods to ensure access to top international vendors and unique cultural integrations.
