The luxury property successfully completed its annual sustainability audit, meeting international benchmarks across environmental, social, cultural, and economic criteria.
This achievement reflects a comprehensive approach to sustainability that covers the resort’s daily operations, its natural surroundings, and the local community.
Environmental Initiatives and Energy Savings
The resort implements practical measures to reduce its environmental impact. Solar panels installed within the team members' village cut energy consumption by approximately 40%. Advanced composting systems convert food waste into nutrient-rich compost for use around the island.
Kuda Villingili also operates a dedicated recycling center for glass, incorporates recycled and biodegradable products, and has eliminated single-use plastics across its premises.
Marine Conservation and Community Engagement

The resort hosts a monthly Coral Planting Experience in collaboration with MSTS, its dive and watersports team.
