Conran and Partners Joins DLR Group, Boosts Luxury Hotel Design
The London and Hong Kong-based studio, known for luxury resorts, becomes DLR Group's first European outpost, expanding global reach for high-end hospitality projects.

London and Hong Kong-based interior design and architecture studio Conran and Partners has officially joined DLR Group. This strategic move establishes Conran and Partners as DLR Group's inaugural studio in Europe, operating from its London base.
The Hong Kong studio will also integrate under the new banner: “Conran and Partners, a DLR Group studio.” Known for its work on luxury hotels, resorts, and branded residences, Conran and Partners brings a team of 75 design professionals to the expanded firm, enhancing its capabilities in bespoke environments for leading international clients.
Sustaining Design Legacy
The partnership ensures the continuity of Conran and Partners' distinguished design legacy, rooted in Sir Terence Conran's belief in elevating life quality through thoughtful design. All five partners – Tim Bowder-Ridger, Katy Clarke, Sebastian Conran, Simon Kincaid, and Tina Norden – will continue in their roles as Principals, leading operations in both London and Hong Kong.
Steven McKay, CEO of DLR Group, noted the shared commitment to design's power in enhancing human experiences. He emphasized that Conran and Partners will maintain its distinct identity as a luxury boutique design studio within DLR Group.
Global Expansion and New Horizons
This merger significantly broadens the global platform for both entities. Conran and Partners gains access to larger-scale design opportunities in hospitality, mixed-use, residential, and workplace sectors, including entry into the U.S. market.
Conversely, DLR Group leverages Conran and Partners' established presence in London and Hong Kong to expand into adjacent markets across Europe and Asia. Tina Norden highlighted the opportunity for their team members to become DLR Group employee-owners, signaling a strong cultural alignment and new career paths for the 75 designers.
Asia's Luxury Wedding Venues
The integration of Conran and Partners into DLR Group carries direct implications for Asia's luxury wedding venue landscape. With an expanded team and increased global resources, the combined studio is positioned to take on a greater number of high-end hospitality projects throughout the region.
Wedding industry professionals and couples planning celebrations in Asia may see a surge in newly designed or renovated luxury hotels and resorts from 2027 onwards, offering more sophisticated options.
