New Anantara Resort Planned for Southern India
Minor Hotels has announced plans for the Anantara Jadcherla Hyderabad Resort, a new luxury property in India's Telangana state. This 37-acre waterfront development, located in Southern India, is scheduled to open its doors by 2029. The project represents the Ashya Group's first venture into the hospitality sector.
Situated approximately a 60-minute drive from Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, the resort offers a serene, nature-focused setting while remaining accessible to one of India's rapidly growing metropolitan areas. This addition strengthens Minor Hotels' presence in the region, following earlier expansions.
Dedicated Spaces for Destination Weddings
The upcoming Anantara Jadcherla Hyderabad Resort is designed to host significant events, including destination weddings. It will feature a dedicated ballroom along with an expansive event lawn, suitable for large outdoor celebrations and functions.
The resort will offer 185 keys, comprising rooms that start at 48 square meters, and 47 luxurious pool villas, which range in size from 90 to 280 square meters. An additional 50 branded residences are planned adjacent to the resort, providing long-term luxury living options.
Luxury Amenities for Guests
Beyond its event facilities, the Anantara Jadcherla Hyderabad Resort will provide a full suite of luxury amenities. Guests can choose from various dining options, including an all-day dining venue, two specialty restaurants, a wellness café, a lobby lounge, and a poolside bar.
For relaxation and recreation, the resort will feature an Anantara Spa, a modern fitness center, an outdoor swimming pool, and a kids' club. These offerings aim to provide a comprehensive luxury experience for both leisure travelers and wedding guests.
Expanding Luxury Wedding Options in India
The Anantara Jadcherla Hyderabad Resort marks a significant step in Minor Hotels' strategic expansion across India, with a goal of reaching 50 properties in the next decade. This new property, alongside others like Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur (opened 2025) and Anantara Zanti Coorg Resort (announced April 2026), enhances the luxury hospitality landscape in the country.
